Momentik ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our iOS application.

2. Data Collection

Momentik collects and stores the following data:

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

• Goals: Your personal goals, success definitions, and weekly targets
• Tasks: Micro-tasks you create or that are generated by AI suggestions
• Sessions: Records of completed micro-sessions, including duration and focus ratings
• Progress Data: Weekly progress, streaks, and completion statistics
• Preferences: App settings, notification preferences, and theme choices

This data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage mechanisms (file-based JSON storage and Keychain for sensitive data).

2.2 Data Synced via iCloud

If you have iCloud enabled, your goals, tasks, sessions, and progress may be synced via Apple CloudKit (private database) to enable backup and multi-device access. This data is:

• Stored in your private iCloud container (only you can access it)
• Encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

2.3 Data Processed by AI Services

If you use AI-powered features (task suggestions, coaching messages), the following is sent to our AI backend (Appwrite Functions):

• Goal titles and task names
• Progress summaries (streak counts, weekly completion rates)
• Available time for the current session

We never send: personal identifiers, journal entries, email addresses, or any data beyond what's needed for suggestions.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Goal Management: Store and track your goals and progress
• AI Task Suggestions: Recommend the best task based on your goals, streaks, and available time
• AI Coaching: Generate encouraging, personalized coaching messages
• Progress Tracking: Calculate weekly progress, streaks, and completion rates
• Widgets & Live Activities: Display your goals and active session on your Home Screen and Lock Screen
• Smart Reminders: Send well-timed notifications based on your usage patterns

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Apple CloudKit (Sync & Backup)

• Purpose: Optional data sync across your devices
• Data: Goals, tasks, sessions, progress (in your private iCloud container)
• Privacy: Apple Privacy Policy

4.2 Appwrite (AI Backend)

• Purpose: Process AI task suggestions and coaching via serverless functions
• Data Shared: Goal/task names, progress summaries (no personal identifiers)
• Privacy: Appwrite Privacy Policy

4.3 RevenueCat (Subscriptions)

• Purpose: Manage premium subscriptions
• Data Shared: Anonymous user ID, purchase receipts (processed by Apple)
• Privacy: RevenueCat Privacy Policy

4.4 Sentry (Crash Reporting)

• Purpose: Detect and fix crashes and errors
• Data Shared: Anonymous crash logs, device type, OS version (no personal data)
• Privacy: Sentry Privacy Policy

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above, strictly for app functionality.

6. Data Storage & Security

• Local: Stored in the app's private, sandboxed container on your device
• iCloud: Encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest
• AI Calls: Transmitted over HTTPS; no personal identifiers sent
• Subscriptions: Handled by Apple and RevenueCat; we never see payment details

7. Your Rights

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Delete: Delete individual goals/tasks or all data via Settings → Reset Data
• Opt-Out of AI: Disable AI features in Settings (the app works fully without them)
• Opt-Out of Analytics: Disable crash reporting in Settings

8. Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
• iCloud Data: Retained until you delete it from iCloud or your Apple account
• AI Logs: Not retained; processed in real-time

9. Children's Privacy

Momentik is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Significant changes will be announced within the app.

11. Compliance

GDPR (EU Users): You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and export your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

CCPA (California Users): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to request deletion of your data.
